The meeting at the Borough Council chambers on 1st June was attended by over 100 residents and businesses from Camberley. The meeting was chaired by David Powell, Chairman of the Society and began with a presentation from the Chief Executive of the Borough Council Karen Whelan. Included in the panel were  the Leader Cllr Moira Gibson, Cllr Richard Brooks, Executive Head of Regulatory Jenny Rickard and Surrey County Council Cabinet Member for Environment and Planning Cllr Mike Goodman. The key topics discussed were the proposed town centre, High Street and station redevelopments and the rail service. Its likely that we will hold another ‘progress update’ meeting in about 6 months time. To hear the podcast (recording) of the event click here Thank you to Paul Chapman for this audio.
