The Camberley Society held its AGM on Tuesday 1st May at 7.15pm with a guest speaker, Ms Dawn Fielding, Nature Network Officer at the Surrey Wildlife Trust, who spoke on ‘Making our urban areas greener and our gardens more wildlife friendly’

Free bird boxes


Natural Surrey Heath was in Camberley Square (near House of Fraser and the Car Park) on Saturday 17th Feb  handing out 50 free bird boxes for small birds, to help you encourage more birds in your garden.  
Natural surrey Heath is a joint initiative between the Camberley Society and the Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust and the bird box hand-out was our first activity. The inaugural meeting of the Surrey Heath Nature Borough took place yesterday 27th October and agreed the name, vision, working objectives and the setting up of a working committee to move this initiative forward. We are planning a number of next steps including the setting up of a bigger meeting next year at Camberley Theatre with some guest speakers. The Camberley Community Art and Crafts Festival 2018 will be bigger and better next year with more focus on community. It will be on Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July. Its is being kindly hosted by the Borough Council at the Council Chambers.
